Thompson Airport COVID-19 Control Measures
Attention all passengers and tenants,
Due to COVID-19 the Thompson Airport has implemented control measures to reduce the risk of disease transmission and help protect in keeping all passengers, tenants and the outlining communities safe.
The Thompson Airport would like to advise everyone that when you are inside the airport terminal it is mandatory that everyone wears a facemask or face cover at all times.
All entrances have hand sanitization stations set up to sanitize your hands upon entry to the airport terminal building.
The airport terminal building is open to travelling passengers and tenants only, those people not travelling must wait in their vehicle if they are picking up or dropping off passengers.
If you fail to comply with the implemented control measures, you will be asked to leave the premises. If you refuse to leave the premises and still do not comply to the control measures that have been implemented the RCMP will be contacted for assistance, your name will be reported to Transport Canada and people refusing to comply with the control measures put in place may face up to a $5000.00 fine from Transport Canada.
If you are sick or experiencing flu like symptoms such as fever, cough or sore throat, we ask that you please stay home.
The Thompson Airport would like to thank everyone for complying with the new control measures to keep everyone safe.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the Thompson Airport will be reducing the Air Terminal Building hours of operation.
The Thompson Airport will be completing a covid-19 deep clean every Saturday!
The TRAA strives to provide a safe environment for the travelling public, employees that work at the airport and the staff of the TRAA. We will continue to provides updates as they become available.
Cleaning and restaurant staff have been advised to be extra vigilent about cleaning, surfaces, door handles, bathrooms, tables, chairs, ect.
Anyone entering the ATB must be wearing a mask!
